E3: Overheated

If you see the E3 error on the display while using your pressure cooker, it means your unit has overheated. To get rid of the error, unplug the unit and let it cool down (approximately 10-25 minutes). Once the unit has cooled, you can plug it back in and error code should be gone, and your pressure cooker is ready to use again.

Causes:

  1. Not enough water/liquid in your recipe. Water helps the unit properly build up to pressure. Your recipe should have a minimum of a 1/2 cup of water or liquid and may require more depending on the recipe and how big your pressure cooker is.

  2. Early steam releasing. Check where the steam is releasing from, such as the regulator knob or the sides of the unit. If there is steam releasing from the sides, stop the cooking cycle, allow the unit to cool and remove the lid. Remove the sealing ring and realign it on the lid. If there is steam releasing from the regulator knob, make sure your knob is attached properly and set to pressure. Adjust knob until there is no steam releasing. Please contact customer service if you need further assistance.

  3. Switching presets or functions too soon. When using the browning or sauté feature, make sure you wait at least 5 minutes before selecting another preset. If you the unit hasn’t cooled down enough when you select a new preset, E3 will display.

E4: Loose Connections

Causes:

  1. Loose connection of exterior power cord. Plug in the exterior power cord again to ensure both connections with the pressure cooker and with the outlet are tight.

  2. Loose connection of the interior red wire. Contact customer support for assistance.

  3. The pressure switch is disconnected. Contact customer support for assistance.

  4. Signal switch has a loose connection.  If E04 displays after pressure cooking starts, the signal switch may have a loose connection. Contact customer support for assistance.
