It’s normal for white smoke to appear when prepping greasy ingredients. When frying greasy ingredients, a large amount of oil will leak into the pan. The oil produces white smoke and the pan may heat up more than usual. This does not affect the appliance or end food result. Be sure to clean your pan properly after each use to prevent it from smoking during the next use. It also helps to wipe down the heating element above your air fryer’s basket as well.
